Michelle Weeks is the culinary genius behind Food Junkies on Wheels. Born into a family where cooking was not just a skill but a way of life, Michelle inherited her love for food from her mother, a seasoned chef herself. Raised in a kitchen infused with Floribbean flavors—a fusion of Bahamian and Floridian cuisine—Michelle learned the art of cooking and baking alongside her siblings.
With a background deeply rooted in her Bahamian heritage, Michelle’s culinary journey took flight when she founded Food Junkies in June 2012. Drawing inspiration from her upbringing and her 12-year tenure as the manager of Publix’s Deli department, Michelle curated a menu that seamlessly blends traditional Bahamian recipes with a touch of Florida flair.
Driven by her passion for culinary arts and a desire to share her delectable creations with the world, Michelle’s dedication has earned Food Junkies accolades, including the esteemed invitation to participate in Ultimate Miami Food Truck 2012.
